NetherRealm Responds to Fans Wanting Mortal Kombat 11 DLC

“We’ll Be Better”

In the time leading up to the release of Mortal Kombat 11, NetherRealm Studios would regularly release trailers for the characters to be included in the game. Your ol’ pal Zane covered many of the trailer releases here, but lately, NetherRealm has been a little stingy on character trailers. We all know that there are Mortal Kombat 11 DLC characters coming, we even know who they are, but we are not really given many answers in terms of when they are coming or what to be excited about. Fans have been vocal about it, and thankfully, NetherRealm has listened and addressed this.

Mortal Kombat 11 DLC

In a tweet, NetherRealm responds to some of these complaints with a short video. A fan used a character model swapping tool to make part of the video. It features Shang Tsung looking at his phone. This is actually Cassie Cage’s animation, but swapped with Shang Tsung. The screen then fills up with tweets from MK11 fans wanting more information on the upcoming DLC. The wall of tweets shatter, revealing the text “Kombat Pack Trailer August 21”. The tweet is captioned “We’ll be better.” That sounds like something a significant other would say after cheating on or neglecting their partner. I guess they kind of have been neglecting us.

Actually, a few days ago, the character trailer for Nightwolf was released. Mortal Kombat 11 fans who have the Kombat Pack will be able to download him on August 13th. Nightwolf will be available to everyone else on August 20th. The Kombat Pack includes 6 characters. Shang Tsung and Nightwolf, who have already been released, Sindel and Spawn, and two mystery guests. It is likely that the two mystery characters will be revealed on August 21st.
