After Five Years, Grand Theft Auto Online Breaks Records For Biggest Week and Biggest Day
Grand Theft Auto Online broke records with “The Diamond Casino & Resort” update last week which introduced another way to gamble with real money in-game. Gamers swarmed the GTA 5 Online servers, testing their luck gambling at the Diamond Casino in droves. GTA Online recently broke entertainment industry records but it’s showing no signs of complacency or lack of creativity as Rockstar recently announced that they saw all-time records broken for GTA Online’s biggest day and biggest week respectively. “The Diamond Casino & Resort” update is free for all GTA Online gamers and is available for download on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
The common misconception about “The Diamond Casino & Resort” update is that it just added this casino & resort for players to explore and while that’s true, the update was also accompanied by new missions, new cars, new collectibles and a ton of other new things for GTA Online players to do.
To keep the previously lapsed players engaged, GTA Online is offering double rewards for casino story missions this week and anyone logging on between now and August 7th will receive free in-game merchandise to celebrate “The Diamond Casino & Resort” update. Rockstar also recommends players test their luck between now and August 7th spinning the Lucky Wheel for a chance to win more in-game merchandise, GTA$ and even a Grotti Turismo Classic sports car.
Anyone with Twitch Prime is still encouraged to link the account with their Rockstar Social Club account to receive the Master Penthouse and other discounts. While GTA Online still prospers, Red Dead Redemption 2 Online is trying to find it’s footing by adding new roles to the gameplay.
