Super Mario Maker 2 Has Had a “Good Start”, Says Nintendo

Super Mario Maker 2 launched late last month with great review scores and the game’s community has been making tons of unique levels (about 2 million levels so far, in fact). According to Nintendo, the game had great initial sales as well.

“During the first quarter of this period (April through June 2019), for Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Maker 2 released in June and has
gotten off to a good start with 2.42 million units sold,” a recent Nintendo financial report read. For the sake of comparison, the first Super Mario Maker game sold 4 million units on the Wii U and reportedly managed to reach 2.34 million units sold on the 3DS.
