Geralt and Company Looking Pretty Cool
With the Witcher Netflix series slated for a release sometime in 2019, the need for more information grows pressing. There’s only so much year left, after all! Thankfully, Netflix has drip-fed us a tiny bit more, with new posters revealed that show off the main characters.
Commence the unreasonable scrutiny! Personally, I think acting will carry a lot more weight than appearance in this case. The cast might be slightly off from your fondest imaginings, but if they can perform well then who cares? Cavill has demonstrated the required chops, at least when he’s given a script of any merit.
The other two actors are (for me at least) rather unknown quantities. Maybe they’ll be good, maybe they’ll be there! We have no idea, and many months before we find out. Still, this will be a Netflix show. The streaming giant has a quality baseline, albeit a flexible and nebulous one. If nothing else, this will be a spectacle of glorious execution.
