One of the Planets in Borderlands 3 Promethea Gets Summarized

Actually, Eridian Vaults are the Final Frontier

The Borderlands universe is a pretty weird place. I mean, even if you take out all the homicidal maniacs, the human race has interplanetary travel capabilities, but the average person on Pandora has sub-par living conditions and comforts. That being said, Borderlands 3 is exploring a wider range of planets than the first two games, as you may well know. We already know a few of these planets, but we now get a closer look at one of these planets in Borderlands 3 Promethea.

Borderlands 3 Promethea

Promethea has been referenced in the Borderlands games prior to the third game. It is the homeworld of Roland and the planet where the Atlas Corporation is based. The talking sniper rifle Morningstar in Borderlands 2 sometimes says “There are children on Promethea that can’t afford ammo, you know!” when reloading. Some ambient dialogue from the citizens of Sanctuary suggests that Promethea is a planet of harsh living conditions. Despite this, footage of this planet released on the Borderlands Twitter account shows that it is in fact a very advanced metropolis. The short video says that one of the protagonists from Tales From the Borderlands Rhys is currently running Promethea. It is also at war with Maliwan, its streets now a battlefield.

A few weeks ago, Gearbox put out a video titled “Borderlands 3 – Claptrap Presents: Pandora“. In this video, Claptrap and his cameraman Steve go around Pandora shooting footage and, to Claptrap’s dismay, creatures. The Promethea video tweeted out yesterday titled “Borderlands 3 – Planetary Profile: Promethea” doesn’t appear to be directly connected, but as we approach the release date of Borderlands 3, Gearbox may be showcasing the different planets in the game in different ways. Borderlands 3 comes out on September 13th on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on the Epic Games Store.
