New Skyrim Mod Allows Children to Become Playable Characters

Race: Child

Skyrim is truly one of those games that just keeps on giving. Almost ten years old now. Skyrim routinely provides fans with the most intricate and unique mods out there. This mod is no different as you can now select Child as your character’s race at the beginning of the game. Called Race mod 1.1, it was created by KaitiSans on Nexus Mods.

Usually, people complain that they can’t harm children in RPGs like Skyrim. However, now the children can fight back. Everything that would happen to a normal character in the base game can now happen to a kid. Even if that means getting burnt to death by a Dragon or mauled by a Grizzly Bear.

There are three different types of children that are available too. Imperial, Nord, and a Breton. Essentially, all the human races. Depending on where your child is from will determine the racial bonuses that your kid benefits from. Unfortunately, children don’t have their own bonus or anything like that. But nothing is perfect.

Additionally, another race has been added to the mod. The developer of this mod has created a subspecies of the weird cat people the Khajiit. They are called the Ohmes-raht and seem to benefit from the same stealth-like bonuses that the Khajiit do.

While the modding community is tinkering away at Skyrim, fans of the Eldar Scroll series are all patiently waiting for the next game. Skyrim has been a fantastic time, however, the community wants an Eldar Scrolls game that isn’t made for the Xbox 360 or PS4. It does not look likely that a game will release within the next year so it seems as though Bethesda is aiming for the PS5 and Project Scarlett. We don’t know much. Only that another Elder Scrolls is coming.
