Ubisoft Reveals Character Leveling and DeadSec Progression for Watch Dogs: Legion

Watch Dogs: Legion Character Leveling Unveiled

This year Ubisoft had a massive reveal at E3 for their upcoming title Watch Dogs: Legion where we found out that we’ll be able to play as anyone and everyone within London. In a recent interview with GamingBolt Creative Director for Watch Dogs: Legion talked a bit about what fans can expect from character leveling and the DeadSec progression.

Slowly but surely more and more information is being released about the upcoming Watch Dogs title. The latest reveal comes from Clint Hocking, Creative Director for Watch Dogs: Legion at Ubisoft. In a new interview with Gamingbolt he talked about exactly how leveling up and progression will work when players will have the ability to control any NPC encountered. When asked if every NPC recruited by the player will be upgradeable, Hocking stated, “Absolutely.”

He continued, “Every character is trained in one of the three Classes as soon as they join DedSec, and every character has their own progression. They level up and gain perks and abilities over time. Your investment in your individual characters is very much about playing with them, seeing them move through the story of the game, and leveling them up over time. At the same time, DedSec has its own progression, and all of your characters also get more powerful as DedSec is upgraded, so losing an individual Operative is more about losing a character and access to their specific play style, as opposed to losing progression and finding yourself under powered against the enemy.”

Watch Dogs: Legion is set to drop on March 6th, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. Are you excited to see exactly how the player progression system will work in practice?
