CD Projekt Red Is Developing All of Them
While Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t drop until Spring 2020 don’t expect it to be the last we’ll see of the franchise. There are currently three separate Cyberpunk 2077 projects in the works. The game which we have seen is obviously one of them. One of the unknown titles will be a Cyberpunk 2077 online game and the other remains a mystery as of now. In a report by Bankier, CD Projekt CEO Adam KiciÅ„ski confirmed this to all be true. There is very little information on the other two projects and it is probably going stay that way for a while. CD Projekt Red is a beloved developer, but they are notoriously slow and stingy when it comes to releasing information about their games.
The multiplayer title could be much similar to Gwent. In the sense that it will very closely mirrors the setting and story of the main Cyberpunk 2077 game. Kiciński also added that the next title that they release will be one of the other projects that they are working on in the Cyberpunk universe.
The next game they release will most likely be the multiplayer game they are working on. The Cyberpunk 2077 that we will be receiving next year is not going to have multiplayer available at all. A multiplayer portion within the Cyberpunk 2077 that arrives in April was promised early on in development. But this had to be held back due to time restraints and other issues. However, it was promised that the multiplayer would be added after the fact. So this other title could just be the missing multiplayer that was originally supposed to be in the base game.
CD Projekt Red seems dedicated to the franchise. It will be interesting what else they can create out of this series.
