First-Person Sword-er Mordhau Sales Hit 500,000

So Much More Personal Than A Gun

Move over, shooters of the world! Mordhau, the first-person… sword-er, has been blowing up Steam this past week. Since its release seven whole days ago, the game has amassed 500,000 sales! That’s a crazy amount of sword-wielding fun being had the whole world over.

Things haven’t been all gravy and hot dogs, however. Mordhau also launched (as all games must) with a hitch or two. “Server performance was abysmal” according to the devs, with drop rates also suffering in the first few days. Thankfully, the team is working on turning things around. Hopefully these issues, along with things like the “Ghost Bug,” will be patched up soon.

Beyond the bug fixes, the devs are looking at adding ranked and competitive modes to the game. You can’t have sweet sword fighting without duels, after all. There’s no timeline for these things just yet, but Mordhau is still only a week off the shelves. Meanwhile, the game is currently available on Steam, milling about with the platform’s other top sellers. If you’re looking for a wild, sword-swinging good time, definitely give this game a shot.
