Sonic the Hedgehog Speeds into Theatres Nov 8
The first official trailer for the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie has finally been released following months of teases involving casting, posters, and leaks.
But now with this new trailer, we can all finally see what the hubbub is all about and, well, it sure is something. We finally get to see the speedy blue hedgehog (voiced by Ben Schwartz) in action here, and even though his design is still a little strange, it sort of works in the whole “cartoon character enters our world” scenario.
We also get a good long look at Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik in the trailer. While he might not look like his video game counterpart either, Carrey does seem to be having fun with this role, bringing his usual comedic shenanigans to the mix.
Other cast members shown are James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, a sheriff in Green Hills, and Adam Pally as another cop. The movie is being directed by Jeff Fowler and involves two small-town cops joining up with the big blur himself to defeat the devil Dr. Robotnik. Pretty simple stuff here, really.
Sonic the Hedgehog is out in theatres November 8th, 2019.
Anyway, what do you make of the movie now that you’ve seen the trailer? We’re curious what everyone thinks so why not leave a comment down below.
