These New Nintendo Switch Models Might Be Revealed at E3 2019
Two new Nintendo Switch models might launch sometime this year after being revealed at the upcoming E3 convention, according a recent Wall Street Journal report.
“One version will have enhanced features targeted at avid videogamers, although it won’t be as powerful as Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 4 Pro or Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One X, according to parts suppliers and software developers for Nintendo who have access to a prototype of the machine,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “The other version is a cheaper option for casual gamers that Nintendo sees as a successor to its aging hand-held 3DS device, the suppliers and developers say.”
The Wall Street Journal also reported that it is “likely” that these new Nintendo Switches will be revealed at E3 2019 and “possibly released a few months later”. According to the news outlet, Nintendo is launching these new Switches “to sustain sales momentum for the product going into a crucial third year” for the console.
Late last year, The Wall Street Journal also reported on a new Switch that was rumored to be launching sometime this summer.
