All New Publisher Numskull Games Has Plans to Bring Forth Digital Only Titles to Retail
If you’re a fan of anything related to video games, movies, TV shows, and/or comics, then it’s probably safe to assume you’ve heard of Numskull Designs, known for their merchandise in all of those areas. Now, the Numskull brand has just announced that as of today they’re branching out even more and launching a publishing company called Numskull Games.
So what’s the driving idea behind the creation of this publisher? Numskull Games will be focused on bringing new games to the industry, both in retail and digital versions, as well as bringing existing digital-only titles to the market as well. And Numskull Games won’t be doing it alone, as they’ve enlisted the help of Rubber Road and their extensive reach world wide.
Martin Defries, the founder and Managing Director of Rising Star Games, will be leading the newly founded publishing company. During his tenure with Rising Star Games Defries saw over 100 games published, and brought games like Deadly Promotion, Harvest Moon, and No More Heroes over the West as a result of his partnerships in Japan. Here’s what he had to say about the brand new Numskull Games, “Starting a new games publisher that integrates with the infrastructure and vast reach of the Rubber Road group is a compelling opportunity. Their resources and know-how mean that Numskull Games has the ability to promote, market, and sell games that take us beyond start-up immediately. Further, by collaborating with Numskull Designs and their expertise, Numskull Games can offer a unique proposition to game studio partners. We already have a raft of exciting projects that will be announced in the coming weeks. The team here are keen to recruit further game content and expand our plans rapidly.”
