Mortal Kombat 11’s Final Build to Improve Following Stress Test
Just a few days ago the stress test for Mortal Kombat 11 went live, and is ongoing until tomorrow at 12:00 AM PST/2:59 AM EST. The purpose of this stress test is to check on the servers before the online beta goes live later this month, though it seems it’s had another effect on the game as well. Following some criticism about the game’s pace NetherRealm has responded by assuring fans that the final build will be better.
The ongoing stress test featured three of the fighters from Mortal Kombat 11 for the online gameplay and according to some players it seems that there have been some improvements made since the last playable build back in January. This first demo featured a build with a more controlled pace for combat that caused players to rely on other tactics rather than a ground and pound approach. Now even though some players have seen a noticeable difference, Ed Boon responded to a fan who suggested that Mortal Kombat 11 would be a slow paced game. Of course this isn’t how many would describe previous titles in the series. You can check out Boon’s response below.
Anytime there is change, there is an adjustment period of time.
More exciting is that the final MK11 version’s movement is even BETTER than the beta! https://t.co/xP5Lmk4gcf

While this “better” wasn’t exactly outlined in detail, it’s safe to say it likely means that there will be faster movement coming down the pipe for the Mortal Kombat 11 beta and into the full game as well. It will be interesting to see just how much this will change between then and now. Fingers crossed that we’ll also see more than just three players as part of the beta as well.
Mortal Kombat 11 is set to release on April 23 for the PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One. Did you get a secret squirrel code for this weekend’s stress test?
