Lots of Stuff Already in the Works for Apex Legends
It was only a matter of time before dataminers started uncovering future content for Apex Legends in the game’s files, and this haul gives players a lot to look forward to.
LEAK: Something about a flamethrower was found in the game files. I don’t exactly know what it does (I’m Dumb, Idk how a flamethrower works).

Of course, keep in mind that not all of these features are guaranteed to make it into the game, but if any of them come to fruition, it paints a promising picture of the game’s imminent future. The folks over at @RealApexLeaks shared dataminer Austin Scriver’s findings on Twitter a couple days ago, which include evidence of a flamethrower, remote turrets, and NPCs, which could fill in for teammates who drop out of the match. There’s also files suggesting that a day-and-night cycle could be in the works.
Additionally, the peeps over at GamingINTEL discovered some code pointing to the addition of wall-running, a noticeably absent mechanic for a game set in the Titanfall universe.
There’s a lot to theorize with from these files, but only time will tell if any of this makes it into the game. Apex Legends is currently available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One – you can check out our review here, and see how many accounts have been banned in the single month the game has been out.
