Season 8 Doesn’t Start for a Fortnite
The next season of Fortnite is almost upon us, and its battle pass will be free for those who complete a set of challenges available in-game now.
Today’s 7.40 patch brought a round of 13 “Overtime Challenges” for players to complete in the next two weeks before Season 8 kicks off. Some of them are a little harder for players busy with real life – three of them involve reaching higher levels of the current Battle Pass – but others are a bit more manageable and can likely be completed in a couple hours.
The new update brought a slew of other goodies including the return of gifting from today until February 22nd, and players can send the Heartspan Glider to one friend for free until tomorrow at 7pm ET/4pm PT. You can check out the full patch notes right here.
Fortnite is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch as well as mobile devices. The game is currently having its Valentine’s Day event, and recently implemented account merging for those with multiple accounts.
