A New Challenger Joins the Fight!
As it was foretold in the scrolls, the prodigal plant has arrived in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, bringing a bevy of character tweaks and a couple handy new features.
Those who purchased the game digitally should automatically receive the new fighter, but those who bought a physical copy will need to register it with their My Nintendo account, and those who did not pick up the game, will be able to buy the character separately as DLC.
Nintendo also updated the Spirit Board to include four-player co-op play, along with the ability to “short hop” by pressing both jump buttons at the same time. There’s also tweaks for 55 of the game’s 70 characters, and you can check out the full list right here.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for the Nintendo Switch. In other recent Smash news, the art director from last year’s God of War has been hard at work on awesome set of his own renditions of the games fighters, and the upcoming suite of DLC fighters may have leaked. Let us know if you’ll be trying out the Piranha Plant in the comments!
