‘Days Gone’ Is Looking Better and Better in the Open Road

Take Care of Your Bike

SIE Bend is hard at work to deliver their best experience with Days Gone, and it shows. The new trailer, which comes not long after the previous one, is about the player’s best friend and how to survive.

Deacon St. John’s motorcycle is everyone’s key to safe travel across the rabid wilderness. We already figured, but did you know that, if you die, you’ll respawn by the bike? In addition to travel, the wheels can be used for storage. Upgrade your engine and nitrous for faster getaways, in case you suddenly stumble across a horde of Freakers. Need to hold more ammo? You can upgrade your saddlebags, too.

The new video for Days Gone also brings a look at a day in the life. Considering the importance of the bike, players must always keep an eye out for gas. We get to see more of the dilapidated infrastructure through which we scavenge for items. Players will inevitably come across people searching for the same resources, however, which leads to conflict. When you’re not competing with scavengers, marauders may turn up with traps and take everything you have.

Safehouses provide shelter from things that go bump in the night. You can sleep in Days Gone to avoid wandering outside in unfavorable circumstances. Nero checkpoints are unique locations that offer much-needed medical supplies, so keep an eye out.

Days Gone is scheduled to arrive for the PlayStation 4 on April 26, 2019. Pre-orders are available now, alongside some bonuses. Check back for additional updates leading up to release.
