Ubisoft Toronto Was Working on a Splinter Cell Game After Blacklist

Splinter Cell Fans Have Been Waiting for a While for a New Game Since Blacklistโ€™s Release

Ubisoft Toronto, the studio behind 2013โ€™s Splinter Cell Blacklist, was developing a new game in the series after Blacklist launched, according to the studioโ€™s former managing director and founder, Jade Raymond.

In an interview with Gamereactor earlier this month, Raymond said that Ubisoft Toronto had โ€œa [Splinter Cell] design that we actually had and worked on and would have wanted to makeโ€. However, Raymond declined to reveal more since she no longer works for Ubisoft and didnโ€™t know โ€œwho wants to share that concept.โ€

There have been multiple past news developments that have hinted that a new Splinter Cell game could be in the works. In March, a Splinter Cell game listing was spotted on Amazon Canada and a pre-E3 Walmart Canada leak that occurred in May listed a new game in the series alongside many other games that were unannounced at the time. However, Ubisoftโ€™s E3 conference came and went without a Splinter Cell announcement.

In September, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot reportedly said that he couldnโ€™t confirm that a new entry was being made. But, according to Ubisoftโ€™s chief creative officer, itโ€™s โ€œa question of meansโ€ when it comes to series protagonist Sam Fisher making a comeback.
