The Emotional Tale of Firewatch Is Coming to a Switch Near You

Campo Santo’s 2016 indie hit Firewatch will launch on the Nintendo Switch on December 17, according to an official Friday announcement made on Twitter.

“Firewatch is coming to Nintendo Switch on December 17th! We’ll be in the Americas, Europe, Australia, and Japan eShops,” the Campo Santo Twitter account tweeted yesterday.

The port had been announced earlier this year in April but wasn’t given a specific release date at the time. If you’re interested in buying this well-received indie game for the Switch then you should read our review of the Xbox One version so you’ll have an idea of what the game is like.

“While Firewatch for Xbox One still carries familiar framerate hitches and occasional visual oddities forward, it’s a notable improvement over the launch of its predecessor,” our reviewer wrote. “And, with such striking visuals and great voice acting, it’s certainly worth your time and money, so long as you don’t go in expecting an amazing twist ending.”
