Deku Joins ‘Jump Force’; Story Trailer Includes Avatar Customization

‘My Hero’ is Here

The mash-up fighting game with a bizarre art style just keeps getting better and better. Every now and again, the game announces a new fighter(s) from a new anime. Today, It’s none other than Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, from My Hero Academia.

Jump Force

Deku’s reveal came via Yonkou Productions, through a scan. Thus far, Bandai Namco has stacked their roster with characters from a variety of popular anime. We’ve seen the likes of Bleach, HunterxHunter, Rurouni Kenshin, and One Piece. Each title has more than one character waving its banner, so, we’re left to ask, will My Hero Academia receive additional representation? We’ll have to wait and see, but the game has really shaped up to be a battle of all-stars.

Jump Force will utilize its roster of all-stars in the campaign, where, apparently, many beloved characters will play a vital role. At the center of it all, we have the player character and their customized avatar. The story trailer shows us the tools players can use to customize their own persona. We’re talking a wardrobe of anime getup, alongside an armory of weapons wielded by some of the most overpowered protagonists in Shonen anime.

Jump Force hits Xbox One, PS4, and PC on February 19, 2019. Pre-order bonuses come in the form of classic anime getup for your avatar; namely the kage rob, Luffy’s shirt, and the classic Saiyan armor. Stay tuned for roster updates as we transition into the new year.

Happy gaming.
