He’s Joined Another Acclaimed Studio
Kyle Rowley, associate design director for Cyberpunk 2077, took to Twitter to announce his departure from CD Projekt RED. He wanted to remind everyone, however, that the project he’s departed will be “killer.”
The mode of Rowley’s departure suggests no bad blood between him and the Polish studio. According to reports, CDPR has seen numerous outside developers come and go, throughout Cyberpunk 2077’s development. In this case, the design director found a new position with Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment. I imagine he’ll play a rewarding role in the development of their latest project, Control. He’ll spend his time on another hotly anticipated title, except this time he’ll be closer to his family. That said, he expressed clear excitement for the development he saw during his time in Warsaw.
Everyone, everyone! I’ve an announcement to make: my family and I are moving back to Finland and I’m rejoining the awesome team @remedygames! I’d like to thank everyone @CDPROJEKTRED for the time spent working on #Cyberpunk2077. It’s gonna be killer. To the future!

Remedy Entertainment’s Control is scheduled to arrive in 2019. Cyberpunk 2077, on the other hand, has neither a release date nor a release window. Stay tuned for additional updates as we dive into 2019.
