Beyond Good and Evil 2 Will Require An Internet Connection

Beyond Good and Evil 2 Is An โ€œOnline, Multiplayer Gameโ€

Gamers hoping to play Beyond Good and Evil 2 will need to have an internet connection in order to play the game, Ubisoft said in a Friday Q&A post.

Beyond Good and Evil 2

โ€œBeyond Good and Evil 2 is an online, multiplayer game with a rich co-op and seamless experience,โ€ Ubisoft explained. โ€œAs such, the game will only be playable with an internet connection in order to have seamless navigation, receive dynamic updates, and play with friends (which is certainly better when youโ€™re playing as a Space Pirate!). The choice to play co-op, however, remains yours to make, so playing BGE2 solo is absolutely possible if youโ€™re into that lone Space Pirate kinda thingโ€ฆโ€

While many modern games have an online component, games that require an internet connection in order to be playable have a divisive reputation in the gaming community. After all, not everyone has a stable Wi-Fi or internet signal where they live.
