Warframe Hits Nintendo Switch Today

Tenno On The Go

Warframe fans with a Switch have a new way to play and take their favorite free-to-play co-op shooter on the go, and there’s some goodies available for new Tenno warriors.

First-time players can claim a free starter pack including 50,000 credits, a 3-day affinity booster, two Orokin Reactors – one for your Warframe, one for your favorite weapon, – and a Forma for those who make it to the late game. The Switch version of the game also includes motion control support and can be played in handheld mode.

On Nintendo Switch, the game will be launching with the Mask of the Revenant update with other updates following “soon after,” so players have a chance to catch up on some of the lore before being bombarded with new content. Players can migrate content over from the PC version of the game, but not their Xbox One or PlayStation accounts – yet.

Warframe's The War Within

In other recent news, Digital Extremes is currently looking into bringing cross-play to the popular co-op shooter, and fans have gone out of their way to advise against the developer using “crunch” in their development cycle.
