The Most Ambitious Crossover Event In History – But For Different Reasons
Ever see a crossover that makes you wonder how it happened, or why? If not, you’re in for quite the confusing treat, as PUBG developer Bluehole has just announced a crossover with Warner Bros and DC.
“Ok, honey. It’s me and you.”
Live on and play as two of your favorite Suicide Squad heroes, the Joker and Harley Quinn. Coming soon. pic.twitter.com/NWZhXaPBMz

2 years and a few months after the film’s release, Suicide Squad’s Joker and Harley Quinn-related cosmetics will be making their way to the Battlegrounds, and the above trailer drops some hints pointing towards a potential game-mode revolving around the characters making a prison break in a limited time event, similar to Fortnite’s Thanos event following the release of license-to-print-money Avengers: Infinity War.
Suicide Squad dropped back in August 2016, and was not very well received unfortunately, so it’s pretty bizarre that this crossover is coming to fruition two years after it’s release. Recently, it was revealed that former Guardians of the Galaxy writer/director James Gunn would be attatched to the product, but that film is still quite a ways away.
Nevertheless, I’m personally down for more outdated film-to-game crossovers. Why not make Sean Bean’s elusive target character in Hitman his Goldeneye character, 006? Let’s see John Travolta’s character from Battlefield Earth come to Mass Effect: Andromeda, or put Ben Affleck’s character from Gigli in GTA Online.
