The Incredible Steamworld Dig 2 is Finally Out on Xbox One

Xbox One Owners Can Finally Play Steamworld Dig 2

Steamworld Dig 2, arguably one of the best Metroidvania games ever made, is now available on the Xbox One digital store, developer Image & Form has announced.

The critically-acclaimed action platformer first came out on the Nintendo Switch in September 2017 before getting PS4, PS Vita, and PC releases shortly after. It also came to the Nintendo 3DS in February 2018. But now, finally, over a year later from its original Switch release, Xbox One owners can finally see what the fuss is all about.

Below is an overview of the game if you’re unfamiliar via the Microsoft Store:

“Adventure waits below the surface…

SteamWorld Dig 2 takes you on a platform mining adventure forged in Metroidvania flames. When an old trading town is struck by mysterious earthquakes, it’s up to a lone steambot and her unlikely companion to uncover what trembling terrors lie beneath.

Dig your way underground and explore vivid worlds riddled with treasure, secrets and traps.

And finally, learn the truth about your long lost friend…”

While it is a sequel to the first Steamworld Dig game, they couldn’t be more different from one another in terms of gameplay so don’t feel too bad if you never played the original. The game is priced at only $19.99 USD/$25.99 CAD and is a quick download thanks to its small file size.
