Trippy Puzzle Exploration Game Discolored Coming Next Spring

The Latest From Jason Godbey

There was a time when I was playing stacks of trippy puzzle games for this website. Among these delightful titles was The Search, a tiny game from Jason Godbey. Now Jason is back with Discolored, coming to Steam next Spring. You can check out the trailer below!

Discolored

As the name implies, Discolored takes place in a world devoid of all colors but grey and slightly different shades of grey. It’s your job to solve a series of cool-ass puzzles and bring lush, vibrant color back to this weird little world. A puzzle game with a story? What a time to be alive!

While I’ve never needed much in the way of a narrative for games like this, that piano track is a different story. Music is essential in creating the right atmosphere in games like this. I don’t care if it’s been done twice or two million times before, I can’t get enough of that lonely, minimalist style of piano. Between that and the entrancing visuals I’m pretty ready for Discolored to come out at just, any time. While there’s no precise release date yet, you can keep up with the game on its Steam page here.
