PlayStation’s Elusive “Dreams” Beta Coming

Dreams Come To Those Who Wait, Or Something

Media Molecule’s “Dreams” game/engine was announced back at E3 2015, and a beta was set for 2016 which slipped all the way into the end of 2018.

Just in time for the Coca-Cola Polar Bear hype.

Over on Media Molecule’s website blog “Kareem’s Dreams Stream,” the developer announced that a beta is indeed coming “later this year,” a time block of which there is very little time left. The team has also put together a Twitter poll allowing fans to choose which theme the beta will include between Dystopian, Alien World, High Fantasy, and Surrealism. I’ve already done Dystopian Alien Fantasy in video games, so my vote is on surrealism so I can recreate Charlie Kaufman’s Anamoalisa and give my friends existential crises.

Dreams is set to hit the PS4 sometime in 2019. Be sure to check out our preview from this year’s E3, let us know if you’re looking forward to the beta in the comments and keep it locked to COGconnected for all the latest gaming news!
