See the Opening Three Minutes of Darksiders 3
Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Gunfire Games is hyping up Darksiders 3 by releasing the intro cinematic called “Fury’s Apocalypse.” You view it in all of its glory below.
Presented in a cartoonish art style, the three-minute intro details the backstory of the Darksiders games and the four horsemen. It’s a fun little intro and does a decent job setting the tone for the game. Sure, it’s a bit overdramatic with its voiceover but at least the visuals are cool.
Right now, anyone who pre-orders the Darksiders 3: Blades and Whips Edition for $89.99 will receive the first two games for free. That’s right, simply pre-ordering the new game will get you Darksiders: Warmastered Edition and Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition. Both have been remastered for the latest consoles and even boast 4K graphics and improved framerates. While the offer isn’t available at every retailer, the major ones like GameStop, BestBuy, Target, and Amazon are covered.
THQ Nordic also has plans to support the game with post-launch content including a new horde mode and story DLC.
Darksiders 3 has been in the making for six years and centres on the character of Fury. In this game, “The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore the balance between good and evil and prove that she is the fiercest of the four horsemen.”
Darksiders 3 is right around the corner. It’s due out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 27th.
