BioWare’s Casey Hudson Teases a Dragon Age Update for December

Don’t Mount the Hype Dragon Just Yet

Developer BioWare is something of a poster child when it comes to RPGs. They’ve produced action, storytelling, and freedom of choice like few other studios can, which is why fans eagerly anticipate any kind of news on Mass Effect and Dragon Age. We can expect an update this December, apparently.

With N7 day, the devs gave a small tease of what the Mass Effect franchise has in store. Today, BioWare’s Casey Hudson provided a new update on the official blog, in order to keep fans in the loop. It primarily dealt with Anthem and how the studio is gearing up for the game’s February 22nd release date. However, the general manager also left a nugget of information regarding many people’s favorite franchise. I’m talking about Dragon Age, of course.

“If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff,” Hudson wrote in a blog post.  “Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy.  Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)”

In all honesty, I doubt BioWare is gearing up for the announcement of a new installment of Dragon Age. It could be a mobile game, for all we know. Perhaps, the best we can look forward to is something along the lines of a game remaster? And judging by Hudson’s comments, we shouldn’t expect anything the news from a big premiere. Fans must keep their eyes open this December.
