Anthem Includes Its Own Piece of Mass Effect N7 Armor

Shared Universe Confirmed

Anthem, BioWare’s new open world franchise, is bringing a little bit of fan service. The game may not have the RPG style of Mass Effect, but it will have a story and a lovely piece of N7 armor.

Yesterday was N7 day (November 7th), an annual event that belongs to Mass Effect fans and, technically, BioWare. The dev team decided to celebrate with an N7 armor skin for Anthem, revealed in the Fort Tarsis hub. Producer Mike Gamble shared a screenshot of the neat piece over on Twitter. It makes you want to pretend that Mass Effect and the world of Anthem share the same universe and that Shepard is probably alive on that planet, and that maybe the next installment is closer than we think. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

In addition to the new skin, BioWare released a new video that provides a nostalgic look back at the Mass Effect series. It provides a little tease of the future and reminds us why we love the series so much. Casey Hudson, one of the key minds behind the franchise, concluded the video with a few words on what N7 means to him: “It means coming into the studio every day, dreaming what the next great Mass Effect game will be.”

A bit of a modest celebration, N7 also came with news that Mass Effect: Andromeda has been Xbox One X enhanced. Moreover, the game is now cheaper on the Microsoft Store. It can kill some time during the wait for Anthem, which arrives on February 22nd, 2018 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
