DICE Gives Players Free DLC For Delaying Battlefield V

DICE is On the Move to Battlefield V’s Release

Battlefield V was originally expected to launch today before it was delayed for another entire month to November 20th. As a gesture to fans for being patient, developer DICE is rewarding players who log into the game within the first week of release.

In the above video tweet, GM of EA Dice Oskar Gabrielson announced that those who dive into Battlefield within the first week of the game’s release will be privy to the OSCAR MIKE GIFT (I’m not yelling, that’s how they spelled it in the press release), which includes the OSCAR MIKE HELMET headgear for Allied soldiers and the OSCAR MIKE EMBLEM that players can show off on their company tanks, planes and weapons.

The developer also released a new Dev Diary chronicling the “unconventional ways the team recorded audio to make the loud sound of the V1 rocket penetrate more clearly than ever,” along with how they make some of the game’s other sound effects.

In other recent Battlefield news, DICE revealed a new trailer for the game’s single-player portion, which will be narrated by Mark Strong, and after this summer’s beta, released a list of changes coming to the full game. Battlefield V drops this coming November 20th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Let us know if you’ll be picking it up in time for the OSCAR MIKE GIFT in the comments and keep it locked to COGconnected for all the latest gaming new!
