One Upsetting Piece of News
The upcoming open world One Piece game, World Seeker, has been pushed back into 2019 to allow the team more time to create “the most ambitious One Piece game ever.”
In a press release, Bandai Namco Chief Producer Koji Nakajima stated:
“One Piece: World Seeker is the most ambitious One Piece game ever. We’re aware of the huge potential for the game and wanted to ensure we matched fans’ expectations. As such, we took the difficult decision to move the release date and use additional development time to create the best game possible.”
Between World Seeker and Jump Force looks like Luffy has his work cut out for him in 2019. Announced in late 2017, World Seeker is an original, open world One Piece story set on Jail Island in the New World, and will release for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Speaking personally, I never really gave One Piece a chance until I saw the trailer for this game. After starting the show last night, I’m totally hooked, and will be seeking out a copy of Unlimited World Red to tide me over until World Seeker drops sometime next year.
