Assassin’s Creed Odyssey World Map Revealed and It’s Gigantic
There’s no doubt that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the setting itself up as the most ambitious title in the series, especially since it has some huge shoes to fill as the next game after Assassin’s Creed Origins. As such, it seems that we’ve now gotten a glimpse of just how large the world map will be and let’s just say it’s impressive.
Though we already knew that the world map for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey would be a lot larger than that of Origins, until now we haven’t exactly known how it would look, or what features would be the most prominent. With this photo, coming straight from Powerpyx, we have learned the truth and hot damn is it a massive world. There are a lot of places to explore, including some mountainous areas, various islands, and plenty of water, which means there will be a lot of whole hell of a lot of adventuring to be had. You can check out the full world map for Odyssey in its entirety below.
As you can see from the photo above, the map is huge, and Powerpyx reports that the map is 62 percent bigger than the map for Assassin’s Creed Origins and will cover 130km². With that said, there is less land mass found in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and that’s because of all the water. And of course, the water is full of little islands that will likely be rife with loot, and you’ll get lost in the world just trying to explore the mainlands of Macedonia and Greece.
According to Powerpyx, this is every region in the game: Makedonia, Malis, Phokis, Lokris, Boeotia, Megaris, Attika, Korinthia, Achaia, Elis, Arkadia, Argolis, Messenia, Lakonia, Kythera Island, Thera, Messara, Pephka, Anaphi, Nisyros, Kos, Melos, Hydrea, Paros, Naxos, Mykonos, Delos, Seriphos, Keos, Samos, Andros, Chios, Lesbos, Lemnos, Skyros, Euboea, and Kephallonia.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set for release on October 5th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. What do you think about the full world map? Are you excited to see such a gigantic space to place across? Let us know in the comments below and don’t forget to keep it locked for updates!
