The Division 2 Locks Extra Stash Space Behind Premium Copies

It Is Unclear How Much Stash Space Players Will Have

Ubisoft has made various editions of The Division 2 available for pre-order, listing the available bonuses for higher tiers. This has stirred a bit of controversy since one of the copies has listed extra stash space as an additional bonus.

The Division

In order to receive extra stash space at launch, players can pre-order The Division 2’s Ultimate Edtion. Listed in the product’s information page, here’s what you can find:

  • The Ultimate Edition includes additional digital content, the Year 1 Pass, and three-day early access to the game.
  • Includes the Elite Agent Pack with exotic assault rifle, unique skill effect, and additional stash space.
  • Includes the Battleworn Secret Service Pack with Battleworn Secret Service outfit, emote, and weapon skin.
  • Also includes the First Responder Pack with First Responder outfit and First Responder weapon skin.

However, some would say that double the price for more inventory is a bit ludicrous. The Ultimate Edition copy of The Division 2 is available for pre-order at current outlets for $119.99. YouTuber SkillUp went so far as to reach out to Ubisoft, whose response he highlighted in a recent video:

This edition was designed for our most engaged players in mind and we provided items that they will find useful in the endgame, such as more stash space. The extra stash space available in the Ultimate Edition is an additional layer of comfort for those who want it.

That being said, our goal is to make sure stash space will be sufficient for all players, no matter which edition they choose or if they pre-order or not.

While extra stash space doesn’t exactly confer a competitive advantage, it will make your life easier for dishing out some extra cash. The extra space is a logistical advantage, which may offer easier progression for players willing to spend more money. Of course, that will depend on how much stash space Ubisoft implements universally at launch. If everyone benefits from ample amounts of space, then the Ultimate Edition bonus may be a non-issue. The Division 2 will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on March 15, 2019.

Happy gaming.
