What a Cyberpunk 2077 Collector’s Edition Could Look Like, According to PR

I’ll Take a V Statue and Some Augments

CD Projekt RED essentially kicked off its marketing campaign with their Cyberpunk 2077 trailer for E3. They’ve since supplemented that trailer with a full 48-minute long gameplay reveal, and it was glorious. Needless to say, many gamers are excited for this world and everything it has to offer. Therefore, it’s no wonder people are already asking about a potential collector’s edition copy of the game.

CDPR has said nothing about a potential collector’s edition, and that’s probably because, according to them, the game is still far from release. Yes, what gameplay we saw looks devilishly neon and immaculate, but the devs in Warsaw are perfectionists. Typically, we expect steelbook cases, figurines, maps, and other curios from premium copies of a game, so we might see the same in a Cyberpunk 2077 copy. However, though the studio didn’t comment on what their box would look like, their German PR manager, Fabian Döhla, offered his input.

“We haven’t announced one yet, but if there is the chance to do something cool and if the added value is right, then we will do one. I believe that was the case with Witcher and it had a good value for money compared to rival products. It just needs to fit and it has to be a nice package.”

Anyone who remembers The Witcher 3 Collector’s Edition will remember the statue with Geralt on top of a griffon. It also came with a map, soundtrack, Witcher medallion, deck of cards, and everything within a gigantic box. Do you think Cyberpunk 2077 will receive a similar package?
