Bandai Namco Wants More Games On Switch

I Mean, We All Want That

During a recent financial call, it was revealed that Bandai Namco wants more of their games on the Nintendo Switch. It seems like every major company wants this to one extent or another, though Bandai Namco made particular note of this fact.

While they have been a bit slower to get their games to the Switch (as opposed to the PS4 and Xbox One), it’s clear that Bandai Namco is working to rectify this problem. A quick set of notes from said financial call note that the system is perfect for ‘igniting play’ wherever it’s brought out. This is more or less Nintendo’s exact design philosophy with their hybrid handheld, so it’s good that other companies are catching on.

All things considered, Bandai Namco isn’t doing too terrible a job at bringing their library to the Switch. After all, they’ve already got around a dozen games either on or on their way to the system. Those numbers may jump in the future, but that depends on a few things. Sales, mostly. That and the porting process. Nintendo systems have a rich history of being really aggravating to work with for developers. It seems like the Switch is a step in the right direction, though it’s still a bit harder than Sony or Microsoft’s consoles to deal with. Either way, major players like Bandai Namco moving towards the Switch suggests that other companies will follow suit.
