Fortnite’s Growing Up Just a Little More On Its First Birthday
Epic’s living, breathing world of Fortnite is about to receive another handful of new items and skins, as well as a significant change to a healing item in high demand, and the return of a mode that quickly became a fan favorite over the past month.
Earlier today, Epic confirmed that the long-awaited skins promised to Save the World Founders back in March would finally be coming to the Battle Royale portion of the game with update v5.10. The skins are called Rose Team Leader (left) and Warpaint (right). It’s no coincidence this is right in the middle of a massive sale on Fortnite Founder’s Packs across PC and consoles running until July 31st, as the game has been promised to go free-to-play this year since it’s launch in 2017 and Epic is likely trying to squeeze every last penny possible out of it prior to the shift.
Additionally, V5.10 will see a big change in how everyone’s favorite Slurp Juice works. Instead of the 50 points of health and shields at 1 point per second that the item restores currently, Slurp Juice will grant players 75 points at 2 points per second, prioritizing health and only recovering shields once player HP has been filled.
A new version of the recently included SMG is incoming as well called the P90, according to the popular Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks twitter account. FNBRLeaks also posted a compilation of the audio files for the new gun.

On top of all that, Playground Mode will be making it’s victorious return on July 25th after enchanting players with it’s no rules rules. The mode will sport new team select options and “lots more look.” Epic has confirmed that the patch notes containing all the official changes will go up at 4am ET.
v5.10 drops tomorrow on Fortnite’s first birthday, which is bringing a bevy of festivities to the game. Fortnite: Battle Royale is currently free to play on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
