Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Beta Trailer Released, Teases Blackout

Black Ops 4 Beta Begins Later This Week

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s multiplayer beta starts in just a few days and a new trailer has been released letting players know what to expect, as well as a short tease of what the Battle Royale mode, Blackout, will look like.

The trailer promises a plethora of content, including 6 multiplayer maps, 10 playable specialists, 6 different modes, as well as a handful of new weapons, equipment, and scorestreaks for tearing opponents apart with.

After a solid minute and a bit of competitive multiplayer footage, the trailer switches over to a bit of Blackout gameplay spliced with crash cuts of other areas of the map, vehicles, skydiving, some underwater traversal, and what looks to be some zombies, implying that the game’s Battle Royale mode really will throw in everything in the Black Ops franchise, including the kitchen sink. It’s hard not to feel the budget being put into this game during the Blackout portion of the trailer.

Treyarch recently opened up about the driving idea behind this year’s iteration of Zombies, and a recent leak may have given away the player count for Blackout mode.

The Black Ops 4 beta begins on PS4 this Friday, August 3rd, and on PC and Xbox on August 10th. The Blackout Beta is set to begin this September. Black Ops 4 drops later this year on October 12th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Let us know what you think in the comments and stay tuned to COGconnected for all the latest gaming news!
