Rumor: The Player Count for the Battle Royale Mode in Black Ops 4 May Have Just Been Revealed

Rumor – Player Count for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Mode Uncovered

Back in May Treyarch announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 would be boarding the Battle Royale train with a brand new game mode called Blackout. At the time the developer didn’t reveal too many details about the new game mode, including how many players it would support. Now, it seems that may have just been revealed.

Despite both Treyarch and Activision keeping the Blackout mode rather hush hush, it seems someone has gotten their hands on the answer to exactly how many players fans of the Call of Duty franchise can expect to find in Blackout. According to a screenshot circling the web, the new Black Ops 4 game mode will support up to 60 players. You can check out the screenshot below.

Now, if you’re a fan of other Battle Royale games you’ll know this is a bit on the lower side of things, with games like Fortnite supporting 100 players at a time. Regardless, if the screenshot is to believed this is definitely exciting news! With that said, until any official confirmation comes from either Activision or Treyarch, it’s best to treat this rumor with a grain of salt or two.

And if you’re wondering what to expect from the latest COD title, we went hands on with it at the big reveal event and here’s what we had to say about it, “From the outside looking in, Black Ops 4 looks like any other Call of Duty game that came before it. That same thought crossed my mind while editing my own gameplay footage. But having invested a considerable amount of time into the competitive multiplayer, I can confirm that it maintains that familiar, fast-paced, fluid action with a fresh spin. Zombie fans have much to look forward to with the inclusion of three separate experiences at launch, and Blackout has a lot of promise. I had a blast attending the reveal event, and I’m genuinely excited about the new direction of the Black Ops series.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is set to release on October 12th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Are you surprised by the rumored number of players supported for the new Blackout mode?
