Get Supplies with They Last
Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu were announced and quickly followed by the reveal of the Poke Ball Plus, a controller that allows a new—perhaps more immersive—method of catching Pokemon. Sensibly, the Pokeball-shaped controller is not required to play the game, and it will be available as a separate purchase. However, it looks like Nintendo is offering a special game bundle,
Pokemon Let’s Go features are interwoven with the gameplay of Pokemon GO on mobile, but they are still standalone titles. Each game will launch at a retail price of $59.99 USD, but the newly revealed bundles will cost $99.99 USD. The Pokemon Let’s GO Eevee and Pokeball Let’s GO Pikachu Pokeball Plus Bundles each come with a copy of their respective games and the new controller. Pre-orders are available now over at Best Buy, Amazon, and GameStop.
Alternatively, the Pokeball Plus controller is available by itself for $49.99 USD. You can find pre-orders available over at GameStop. For whatever reason, the listings have yet to go live on Amazon. The perk of picking up the Pokeball Plus without the game is that you can always reserve its use for Pokemon GO if you’re already experiencing that on mobile. The controller has similar features to the HD Rumble on Joy-Con, includes a light-up effect, and plays audio from the game.
Last but not least (depending on who you ask), a purchase of the Pokeball Plus controller grants any player access to Mew. No more grinding or unraveling the secrets to find the Legendary Pokemon. You will have him or her at the beginning of your journey, no matter which bundle you buy, which also means you’ll have access to the Pokemon in mobile and on Switch. Find Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s GO Eevee when they launch on November 16, 2018.
