Our First Anthem E3 2018 Tease Has Arrived
EA has done the unthinkable and has showcased 3 whole seconds of Anthem footage. The footage promises a lot more at E3, among which we’ll find a new story trailer.
According to the new tease, “Something is out there, and it wants to destroy us all.” This trailer is a preamble to the big trailer for EA Play, where I suspect we’ll learn more about the open world and the narrative. In addition, we’ll see more of the characters and the kinds of enemies that exist in this shared world. Alongside a look at lore, there will be gameplay showcasing more of the exo-suit Javelins. A look at theAdditional insight into the core gameplay loop is a guarantee: flying, fighting, and looting.
Before today, much of our knowledge of Anthem has been limited to what the devs revealed on social media. Despite knowing next to nothing about the length and breadth of the game, we do know it will release in March 2019. But we’ll finally learn more at EA Play, the schedule of which you can find here. Last year, the game was showcased on Microsoft’s stage, so we can probably expect something similar to happen this year. Time will tell, so stay tuned for updates leading up to the expo and beyond.
