Tune in Before E3 for Destiny 2 Year 2
We are hot off the heels of Destiny 2’s Warmind DLC, but the folks over at Bungie aren’t waiting to show more. The won’t even wait for E3, it seems. The developer has already scheduled their announcement for year 2 content, which could be arriving this Fall.
The announcement for Destiny 2‘s next expansion will be broadcast on Twitch. A livestream hosted by Game Director Steve Cotton and Project Lead Scott Taylor promises concrete information on the next expansion. And what’s to come is a complete mystery. Since the devs allege that they’ve been listening to fan feedback, there’s a chance we’ll see a revamped loadout system, among other things. A few free patches leading up to the next big major DLC drop may be revealed.
More importantly, we may finally catch a glimpse of the new mode that Activision-Blizzard has been teasing. Perhaps it will garner the same positive response testers expressed, coming out of the community summit. It will be interesting to see if this next expansion, whatever it is, can mimic the return to form fans saw with The Taken King. The Destiny 2 livestream will begin on June 5th, 9 AM PST. We’ll have more info as it arrives, and we’ll know even more by the end of Sony’s E3 press conference. Stay tuned.
