In a press release, Dontnod revealed that, on April 17th, it decided to register with the French stock market regulator Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). This is the first step towards going public on Euronext Growth, the European stock exchange. Going public ensures that the company can secure the necessary funds to finance future games.

“The global video games market, which already represented $109m in 2017, is going from strength to strength and we want to make the most of it,” said Oskar Guilbert, founder and CEO of Dontnod. “The original creations of our studio, developed by passionate and experienced collaborators, allowed us to attract the biggest publishers worldwide and a very large audience. With this IPO project, we want to continue building this momentum.”

It has also been revealed that the company is working on two unannounced projects and that it is currently in talks with “top-tier publishers.” Not much else is known about these two games other than they will be two brand-new IP’s.

As far as upcoming games go, Dontnod has a few things in their pipeline already including Vampyr, which is out on June 5th. Also in the works is a sequel to Life is Strange, and a narrative-based adventure game with Bandai Namco. A fourth secret project is being worked on as well that, apparently, already has a title and publisher connected to it. These games should roll out in within the next three years or so.
