Crackdown 3 Brazil Rating May Suggest a Release Date Incoming

Crackdown 3 Is Scheduled for a Spring Release

As we reach further into the season of Spring, gamers have to be contemplating the release date of Crackdown 3. Recently, the game received a rating in Brazil, which may hint at an announcement coming soon.

Crackdown 3 E3

Crackdown 3 has been rated as “not recommended for children under sixteen.” Frequently, ratings are applied near the very end of a game’s development cycle. Hence, it would be no surprise if the Microsoft exclusive finally received a release date in the coming days or weeks. Considering how much time has passed, a greater surprise might be no announcement within the next month.

Crackdown 3 was originally scheduled for release in 2016 but it was then delayed until 2017. Xbox thus showcased the cloud-rendered experience again at E3 2017. Following some negative feedback, the release was pushed back, yet again, from Fall of last year to Spring 2018. Now that it’s April, the devs have officially had an extra six months beyond the previous release date. As far as we know, three developers (Sumo Digital, Ruffian Games, and Reagent Games) are still working on the project. Therefore, taking time and manpower into consideration, Crackdown 3 may be due for release sooner rather than later. Xbox chief Phil Spencer already made the statement last month.

Of course, there’s always a small likelihood that Microsoft shall wait until E3 2018 for another showcase, perhaps to release the game in June. The issue here is that Crackdown 3 would officially become a Summer game instead of Spring, which would be akin to another delay. Any thoughts on the matter? Feel free to comment down below.
