Far Cry 5’s File Size May Expand with 4K Updates
We are very near the release of Far Cry 5, which means it’s about that time for players to make some room on their hard drives. The new file size has been revealed on the Xbox Marketplace, and it’s surprisingly low.
According to the Microsoft Store, Far Cry 5 will take up a total of 37.55 GB. This seems quite low, considering the additional graphical features it will include. Since the game is Xbox One X enhanced, it shall run at 1800p resolution. Furthermore, players shall know the grace of a better framerate as well as the benefits of HR10. As far as we can tell, the best visual fidelity will be on the Xbox One X. No word yet on the PlayStation 4 file size, but I don’t imagine it’s far off.
On top of better visuals, Far Cry 5 is expected to be a bit of a different experience from its predecessors. Along with a better focus on co-op gameplay, their in-game mechanics will entail more realistic ballistics this time around. You can read the reasons why Ubisoft chose this path in our dedicated article here.
Far Cry 5 will launch for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on March 27, 2018. Since there will be multiple editions of the game, you may want to read up on Ubisoft’s post-launch plans. For updates on all that and more, keep it locked with COGconnected.
