Ubisoft Says Assassin’s Creed Origins Is Easily on Track to Double Syndicate Sales

Assassin’s Creed Origins Sales Could Easily Double Those of Syndicate

Ubisoft has found massive success with Assassin’s Creed Origins right out of the gate, offering a sense of fresh adventure and pulling a beloved franchise out of stagnation. Following the underwhelming offering of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate the development team took a two year break to work on this latest adventure, it seems to have officially paid off. In fact, according to Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed Origins is on track to double Syndicate’s sales!

That’s right, after just four months on the market, Assassin’s Creed Origins is easily on its way to not only beat the number of sales that AC Syndicate has earned in its entire lifetime, but to double it. During Ubisoft’s quarterly investment conference call, CEO Yves Guillemot and CFO Alain Martinez stated that Origins is on track to double to performance of Syndicate in its entirety. As such, Guillemot explained that the sales of the latest franchise title are more impressive than the company expected.

Despite the fact that this prediction is a lifetime estimate, and indicates Origins isn’t quite at the point of doubling Syndicate’s sales, it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if it did happen the way sales are going. Of course, with new DLC content on the horizon, including Curse of the Pharaohs next month, the game shows no signs of stopping. And speaking of the DLC, sort of, Martinez added that the attach rate for the season pass is “a lot better” than what is was for Syndicate. This means that more gamers were willing to pick up the season pass right away this time around, instead of waiting to buy DLC content.
