Sony CES Trailer Features Some Big Games
This week, CES (Consumer Electronics Show) is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the beginning of Sony’s conference at CES 2018, the consumer electronics giant showcased a new sizzle reel trailer that featured a few games we have been keeping our eye on.
One thing is for certain, the presence of video games was larger compared to last year when we saw just a quick shot at the PS4 Pro, PlayStation VR, and a couple of seconds of PlayStation VR Worlds. So the fact Sony is showing some more games on their sizzle reel is quite telling.
At the beginning of the trailer the PS4 Pro is on display, then we catch a glimpse of Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, SIE Santa Monica’s God of War, and Media Molecule’s Dreams. Check out the trailer below:
It is interesting to note that normally the CES trailer features products that are either already released or are releasing in the same year (in 2016 we saw The Last Guardian, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and The Playroom‘s Monster Escape minigame for PlayStation VR). So the presence of these games suggests all three, including Ghost of Tsushima, will be released this year. Of course, this is just speculation.
During the conference, which was very brief, Chief Executive Officer Kazuo Hirai mentioned that PlayStation “has continued to build upon the positive momentum in the gaming world”. So really life is good for Sony and the PlayStation 4 but we already knew this.
