Gears of War 4 Developer Has Something Cooking In The Oven
Naturally, you would think a Gears of War 5 game is in the works. In fact, we are pretty sure we’ll eventually get that announcement. In the meantime; however, it appears Gears developer, The Coalition, is working on a whole new IP altogether. Given the outstanding job they did with Gears 4, this news has us pretty jazzed.
StoryLab Productions recently listed a new project on its page. With it, they indicated that they are working alongside The Coalition on a whole new project.
Although details are extremely limited, the listing indicates a “New IP with The Coalition Studios 2017” and “Currently in production 2017.” It did note, though, to “please check back for further updates on this production.”
There have been rumblings that this new IP could very well be a third-person action game, and there are rumors that could be Perfect Dark, as suggested by this previous Microsoft rumor. You can read more about that leak HERE.
Despite this juicy news, nothing is confirmed yet. So a new Perfect Dark game is pure speculation.
The studio has worked on other projects in the past, but it’ll be interesting to see what it produces outside the usual realm of Microsoft-based games like Gears of War 4 and Microsoft Flight. We’ll see what The Coalition is up to in the months ahead, as Microsoft is likely to reveal what this project is during its pre-E3 press conference.
What game do you think they are working on? Tell us in the comments below.
