Now You Can Prepare to Die on the Go!
During today’s “surprise” Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that the original Dark Souls will be coming to the Switch in the form of Dark Souls: Remastered on May 25th. An announcement for the other consoles will likely come soon.
The remaster will include the Artorias of the Abyss DLC and improve framerate and resolution. The original was released in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version called the Prepare to Die edition was released the following year with upgrades graphics.
The news should come as a relief for fans of Nintendo’s latest little machine. It has been widely rumoured and speculated that Dark Souls would make its way to the Switch and that it would make for a great fit on the go. Could this mean that we can also expect a remaster for the second and third games in the series?
The announcement also follows a string of other welcome third-party game announcements include DOOM, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus from Bethesda.
