Get Ready for Some Intense Multiplayer
So, you want to know what’s going on in the Galaxy far, far away. Well, the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta is finally coming this week. Those of you who want to experience the new installment before its official release here’s your chance and here are the exact times.
First off, anyone who wants to experience the game as early as possible can do so via pre-ordering. Early access for Star Wars: Battlefront II begins on Wednesday at 1 am PDT / 4 am EDT / 9 am BST. Never fear, anyone who hasn’t yet bought the game. If you haven’t pre-ordered and don’t intend to do so, the open beta begins Friday, October 6th, 1 am PDT / 4 am EDT / 9 am BST.
As for the game modes that will be available during the beta, they come as follows:
Galactic Assault – Defend Naboo as a Clone Trooper, or join the ranks of the Separatists and storm the royal palace. Utilize 4 distinct trooper classes, call in reinforcements, pilot vehicles, and become a hero.
Starfighter Assault – In Starfighter Assault, race as the Rebel Alliance to destroy a Star Destroyer over Fondor, or rally as the Galactic Empire to defend it.
Strike – In Strike, join a team of First Order troopers or Resistance fighters in team battles around Maz’s castle.
Arcade – A single-player scenario where it’s you vs the AI. Two missions will be available.
Like in all betas, progress doesn’t carry over if you decide to buy the game. But, EA will be gifting a “Founder’s Pack” to any and all who participate. Along with credits and goodies to get a headstart in battle, the crate will come with an exclusive Darth Maul emote.
Unless DICE and EA decide to prolong the experience, the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta will end on Monday, October 9 at 9 am PDT / noon EDT / 5 pm BST. Mark your calendar.
